Boys 800 Heat 5
In Heat 5 of the Boys 800, Hamilton's Chris Fusaro set a blistering early pace of 27 seconds for the first 200 meters. Cody Hartman (Gila Ridge, Jr.) took control through the first lap and pulled away from the chase pack. Though Thomas Cain (Cibola, Jr.) tried to challenge in the final 200, Hartman held him off for the win. Their times, 1:56.75 and 1:57.26 are now ranked 6th and 10th in the State.
