Later today we are doing a video interview with Bennett Gunning, who was a fantastic frosh last year with a sub-2 minute 800-meter time at the AIA Division I State Meet. His 1:57.76 put him 7th All-time in Arizona for freshman boy 800-meter runners. Only seven other Arizona boy freshmen had ever broken 1:58; hence, Bennett is in rarified air. Who knows what he would have run this season as a sophomore? I guess we'll just have to see what he brings to the track next year as a junior.
