Catalina Foothills senior Taylor McCue (left) in the Division II girls race at the 2021 AIA State Cross Country Championships at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. McCue put together one of the more impressive seasons last fall as she finished in third at the state meet and qualified for both the NXR Southwest Region and Garmin RunningLane Cross Country Championships. Her time of 17:53.84 makes McCue the second-fastest athlete in Pima County, but she remains one of this year's biggest wild cards heading into the cross country season as she didn't race at all on the track in the spring.
