This Week's Nominees:
Crew Comish, Red Mountain High School (Arizona): Winning by 7.1 seconds is one thing, but doing it in 15:31.59 over 5K at the Fountain Hills Invitational put a real exclamation point on the victory, first among 181 finishers. That time now checks in at No. 6 of 2,600 athletes in MileSplit's database at Fountain Hills Park since 2019, and it marks a 32.2-second improvement on this course, down from a previous 16:03.76.
Aiden Werkheiser, Tombstone High School (Arizona): The win at the Cobre XC Invitational came by 50 seconds, with a 5K time of 17:25.00 leading a 22-runner field. That effort ranks No. 3 of 204 athletes in MileSplit's database at Cobre HS XC Course since 2021 and cut 86.6 seconds off a previous mark on the same course.
Jude Crawford, Hamilton High School (Arizona): Covering 5K in 15:34.70 at the 42nd Annual Ojo Rojo Invite produced a runner-up finish among 340 competitors. The time stands No. 28 of 4,771 athletes in MileSplit's database at Tumbleweed Park since 2019, a 21.2-second improvement on the same course from a prior outing.
