To expedite the scoring process, we would like you to upload your entries to athletic.net by Monday, October 13th, 2014 by noon. You need to make sure you distinguish which runners will be in Varsity, JV, and Freshman of course.
We will have two chutes for the finish of the JV/Freshman race so we can separate them. With your entries, we will create race-specific tags that can be removed at the end of the race for place that will have pre-printed names. We will take the tags at the finish and combine them with times. Athletes should NOT bring their tag to you.
Here is what we decided as our schedule and parameters at our meeting at the beginning of the year:
JV/Freshman
JV/Freshman Boys run at 3:30 PM, report to line at 3:20 PM
JV/Freshman Girls run at 3:35 PM, report to line immediately after boys begin.
Times will not be collected for JV/Freshmen after 35 minutes and individual times past number 15 will not be available until the following morning (unless I can get them done while other groups are out on the course). We will not score the JV or Freshman meet as decided at the meeting, but coaches may do the scoring on their own based on individual placement and time.
Varsity (top 7 regardless of grade)
Varsity Boys run at 4:10 PM, report to line at 4:00 PM
Varsity Girls run at 4:40 PM, report to line at 4:30 PM
Awards
Awards will be presented at 5:15 PM (or as soon as I can get them done)
Top 15 from Freshman, JV, and Varsity races will receive medals.
All-City
Top 7 from Varsity races will be 1st team All-City with #1 finisher being named the City Champion. Second set of seven (#8-14) are 2nd team All-City.
As always, if you see a mistake, have a question, or otherwise, let me know!
Other than that, we are looking forward to a good City Meet! See you in October!
