Meet Information

Welcome to the MHS Last Chance Meet

We are pleased to be hosting this exceptional track meet. Enclosed you will find important information about the meet. This will be a state-qualifying meet for Divisions I - IV, and considered a NON-SCORING MEET.

Payment: The entry fee is: 1-5 athletes entered will be $25.00 each, 6+ will be $125 per gender.

Entries: Each school will be allowed unlimited entries per individual event and one (1) relay team per school.

Please enter athletes who have a reasonable chance to meet the qualifying marks, or those who are trying to improve their standings. Athletes that are already in the top rankings are welcome to complete and attempt to better their respective marks. The goal is to allow the athletes a final chance to qualify for the State Meet.

Entries will be entered on MILESPLIT and MUST be entered Wednesday, April  27, 2022 at 11:59PM.

The meet results will be posted on athletic.net and Milesplit.

Events:

All track events will run as finals (heats against time), in multiple-sections as needed.

100,200, 400 & hurdle events will start and finish in same lanes

Distance events will use a single or double waterfall start depending on the # of entries.

Track athletes must check in with the clerk of the course in the bull pen to pick up hip numbers.

Relays: all 4 athletes must report to the clerk at the designated check-in spot.

4x400 relay will be a three turn stagger.

Four(4) attempts will be given in the horizontal jumps. Four (4) attempts will be given in the throws.

Throwers may bring their own shots and discs. Weigh in will take place from 12:15 PM to 12:45PM, site to be determined.

Pole Vault verification cards must be signed and submitted prior to the start of the event. Pole Vault will increase in 6" increments. Coaches will be allowed in the coach's box for their athletes.

Official rules will follow NFHS rules. This includes Jewelry and Uniform rules. Electronic devices will not be allowed on or inside the track. This also applies for field events.

Coach's boxes will be provided for coaches at each field event.

Warm up area will be provided on the infield for athletes whose event has received a first call. Please make sure your athletes adhere to this policy.

Games committee will be announced at the coaches meeting.

MISC:

Concessions will be available.

There will be no awards given.

Trash bags will be provided for each team camp.

Results will be posted online - website given at coaches meeting.

Heat sheets will be emailed to each team. Hard copies will NOT be provided unless specifically asked for. 

An Athletic Trainer will be available on the infield, near the finish line.

TENTATIVE (Rolling) TIME SCHEDULE

  • 12:15 - 12:45- Implement Weigh-Ins, (site TBD)
  • 12:45 - Coaches Meeting (behind the timing tent, North side of stadium, next to horizontal jump runways)

Field Events

  • 1:30pm  (Boys Shot),(Girls to follow) - 30 min later start to account for Javelin throwers. 
  • 1:00 (Boys Javelin, Girls to follow)
  • 1:00 (Girls Discus, Boys to follow)
  • 1:00 (Long Jump Boys, Girls to follow),
  • 1:00(Triple jump Girls, Boys to Follow)
  • 1:00 (Girls Pole Vault, Boys to Follow)
  • 1:00 (Boys High Jump, Girls to Follow)
  • NOTE: Donkey Lines will be used and determined using the lowest provisional mark for all divisions.

Running Events

3:30 PM - We will begin the running events at 3:30PM and use a rolling schedule with no scheduled breaks through completion of the 4x400m relay. Girls run 1st.
