Meet Information
MEET INFORMATION:
The Southwest Region Meet will be held at Estrella Foothills High School (13033 S. Estrella Parkway, Goodyear, AZ 85338) on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Bus parking will be available in the parking lot located to the north of the track.
This will be a state qualifying meet for all divisions. We will use a finals only format for all running events.
Implement weigh-ins will begin at 2:15 pm at the finish line. A short coaches meeting will begin at2:45 pm in the foyer of the gymnasium.
Javelin will begin at 3:00 pm on the practice field located to the east of the track. All other field events will begin at 3:30 pm. Running events will begin at 3:45 pm.
ENTRY FEE:
The entry fee will be $150 per team. Payments should be mailed to the following address by Monday, April 18:

If your coaches are willing to help us run a field event, we are willing to waive the entry fee for your team.
ENTRIES:
Each team is allowed 4 entries in individual events. Each school will be allowed 1 entry for relays. Athletes will only be allowed to participate in 4 events, including relays.
All entries should be made through MileSplit by Monday, April 18, 2022 at 9:00 pm.
TEAM CAMPS AND COACHES BOXES:
Team camps may be set up in the bleachers on either side of the track, but only athletes actively participating in or warming up for an event should be on the infield. Coaches boxes will be available for all field events. All spectators should remain in the bleachers and/or outside of the track fence.
SCORING AND AWARDS:
Top 6 places will score. Scoring will be 10-8-6-4-2-1.
A team trophy will be awarded to the highest scoring boys team and the highest scoring girls team.
Medals will be awarded for the top 3 places in each event.
CONCESSIONS AND HOSPITALITY:
Concessions will be available during the meet. A hospitality room will be available for coaches and meet workers in the foyer of the gymnasium.
SPECTATOR ADMISSION:
Admission to the meet is $6 for adults, $3 for students, children 5 and under are free. AIA passes are accepted.
