Meet Information

We are so excited that you'll be joining us this week at the PRCA meet. Please see below for a list of things to know before you arrive.

Information regarding the event:

  • Please register your athletes via MileSplit no later than 7pm on Tuesday, March 28th. 
  • For running events, please only enter Varsity athletes. Junior Varsity will be registered at the event.
  • The event is free to spectators.
  • Parking may be done on the Softball field just East of the field or in the South lot East of the Practice Field (see image below).
  • Spectators must stay off the track and in the designated areas for field events. 

Running Events:

Order of Running events: (beginning at 4:00pm)

  • 4x800 Meter Relay
  • Boys 110 Hurdles/Girls 100 Hurdles
  • 100 Meters
  • 1600 Meters
  • 4x100 Meter Relay
  • 400 Meters
  • 300 Low Hurdles Hurdles
  • 800 Meters
  • 200 Meters
  • 3200 Meters
  • 4x400 Meter Relay

Information regarding running events:

  • Fastest heats will be ran first
  • Junior Varisty will run after Varsity
  • Practice field is available for warmups
  • Athletes must check-in to their event on time.

Jumping Events:

Order of Jumping events: (beginning at 3:30pm)

  • Girls High Jump followed by Boys High Jump
  • Boys Long Jump followed by Girls Long Jump
  • Immediately following Girls Long Jump will be Boys Triple Jump followed Girls Triple Jump

Information regarding Jumping Events

  • All field events are on the Main Field (Please see attached image). 
  • Athletes must check-in to their event on time.
    • In the case they need to check-out for another event, we will make every effort to give them their opportunity to throw, but they must return within 15 minutes of their event ending.

NOTE THAT THERE IS NO POLE VAULT AT THIS MEET THIS SEASON

Throwing Events:

Order of throwing events: (beginning at 3:30pm)

  • 3:30pm Girls Javelin followed by Boys Javelin
  • 15 minute break
  • Boys Discus/Girls Shot
  • 15 minute break
  • Boys Shot/Girls Discus

Information regarding flow

  • No implement weigh-in at this meet. 
  • Throwing events will take place on the practice field South of the main field. Entrance to this field is from the main road through campus. There will be tables by each throwing area for athletes.
  • Spectators for the throwing events must remain on the berm of the practice field. No spectators are allowed on the west side of the practice field closest to Oracle Road.
  • Please encourage your spectators to stay off the field. Due to the nature of Discus, Javelin, and Shot Put, it is essential we maintain these boundaries for everyone's safety.
  • Throwing events will be 4 throws, no finals. In the event that there are too many flights, throwers will be given 3 throws instead of 4 so as to not lose sunlight.
  • Flights will be in reverse order with the longest distances going first.
  • Athletes must check-in to their event on time.
    • In the case they need to check-out for another event, we will make every effort to give them their opportunity to throw, but they must return within 15 minutes of their event ending.
  • There will be one informational meeting regarding the rules of the event. Athletes must attend this informational meeting regardless of flight. 
  • To maintain safety, athletes may only throw during warmups and competition.
    • Athletes may not "free throw" during the meet when events are not running.
    • Javelin Pick Lines will take place in the Javelin Warmup Area
  • THROWERS RELAY: The traditional Throwers Relay (4x100M Relay) will take place during the JV 4x100.Teams may submit their entries to Coach Hendrickson at the meet.
