WHITE TANKS CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL

DEAR COACH:
Dysart High School extends a warm invitation to you and your teams to complete in the 23rd annual cross country invitational. We are looking forward to seeing you and your teams once again participate at this event. The course in challenging, the competition is keen, and the weather will probably be warm. See you at the meet.
DATE: September 26, 2009
TIME: 8:15 Girls Freshman (no team score and no limit on the number of entrees)
8:35 Boys Freshman (no team score and no limit on the number of entrees)
8:55 Girls Open (no team score and no limit on the number of entrees)
9:15 Boys Open (no team score and no limit on the number of entrees)
9:35 Girls Varsity (7 runners limit)
10:00 Boys Varsity (7 runners limit)
NOTE: YOU MAY ENTER YOUR OUTSTANDING RUNNERS IN THE VARSITY RACES WITHOUT A FULL TEAM. THEY WILL BE ABLE TO COMPLETE FOR INDIVIDUAL HONORS. THERE WILL BE NO SCORE ADJUSTMENT FOR THESE RUNNERS. YOUR TEAM SCORE WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE PLACE CARD THEY RECEIVE. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR ATHLETES GET THE RIGHT CARD.
LOCATION: White Tanks Mountain Park, 9 miles west of Dysart High School. Olive Avenue dead ends into the White Tank Park. (see map)
COST: $150.00 will cover all the races and runners. Please mail ahead or have the entry fee at the race site. Please make checks payable to Dysart High School Athletics.
ALL BUSES MUST PAY A $10.00 ENTRY FEE TO THE PARK! ALL OTHER VEHICLES ARE $5.00. THIS IS BY ORDER OF THE MARICOPA COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION DEPT. The park will not allow us to pay for the entry fees, so please plan on bringing money for the park entry fee.
COURSE: Hills, desert trails, unimproved road. This is a challenging course for girls and boys. The distance for boys and girls will be 2.7 miles long. Portable bathrooms are available at the race site.
AWARDS: 1ST place and runner-up trophy to boys and girls varsity teams.
Medals: Varsity - Top 25, Open - Top 20, Freshmen - Top 10
