Competing in cold and windy conditions that hampered performances on the track, Oklahoma athletes still managed to win five individual event titles Saturday night at the Sun Angel Track Classic. The Tempe, Ariz., meet saw Sarah Pappas (pole vault), Eric Bailey (400-meter hurdles), Shawna Anderson (100-meter dash), Jasmine Simmons (triple jump) and Brittany Borman (javelin) all claim titles on the day.

The University of Iowa track and field team is sending student-athletes to compete at the Sun Angel Classic and the Cornell Open this weekend. Hawkeyes traveling to ASU will compete Friday and Saturday, while competitors at Cornell will be in action Saturday.

Toughest Outdoor Weekend to Date for Oklahoma Apr 06, 2011

This weekend will feature the toughest tests to date this outdoor season for the Oklahoma Track and Field program as it splits to meets in Arizona and Austin, Texas. The majority of the program including the No. 4 women's team will travel to the Phoenix area where it will compete in the Mesa Classic on Friday and the Sun Angel Track Classic on the campus of Arizona State University of Saturday. The distance group for the No. 17 Oklahoma men will be in Austin, Texas for the 84th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. All three meets feature a number of ranked opponents.

Sun Angel Classic Serves As Weekend Destination For Track & Field Apr 06, 2011

Tempe, AZ—The UC Riverside Track & Field Teams are headed to Tempe, Arizona for the second time in two weeks as Arizona State hosts the 32nd Sun Angel Track Classic on April 8 and 9. Joining the Highlanders are the likes of Arizona, BYU, Colorado State, Minnesota, Michigan State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Oklahoma, San Diego State, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.
