Saturday may have been an unseasonably warm day for March in Arizona but it didn't seem to faze the athletes competing at the Tolleson Invitational. “You just have to drink a lot of water," explained Angel Curley of Flagstaff. Not only did she drink enough water but so did her teammates as they were able to win the 4x800m to kick off the morning. Even though they lapped the majority of the field, the harriers from up north weren't focused on the other runners, “It was just about our time," explained anchor Courtney Lewis who also placed 2nd in the open 800. Fiona Nicholson likened it to the fall, “I have to do this for my team; it is like short cross country."

Speaking of cross country, the larger field of runners sometimes makes it more physical than track. However, the girls 1600m got a bit physical on Saturday as well, “She was pushing me, so I thought I better be more aggressiv...
