The 5th Annual Hal Anders Invitational hosted by Apollo High School in Glendale was the site of several marks on Saturday that will shake up the state leaderboards. With a straightforward timed-finals meet schedule, meet management ran an efficient meet that saw few delays.
While many of the big schools in the state were in Tempe or cool California, Mesa Mountain View showed up for work on the boys and girls side and did not disappoint. Sarah Hatfield was a multiple event winner in the 100H and 300H with over a 1 second win in both events going 15.36 and 44.72. Natalie Clark added a win in the 100m dash with a time of 12.60 and both girls added efforts to a winning 4x100 in 49.62. Kyndal Stewart and India Broom were the other victorious Toros on the day in the long and triple jump leaping to 17'1.5" and 34'8" respectively.
