When did you begin competitive running?
I loved running from an early age; I started in 6th grade.
What does a typical training week look like for you?
During a typical week I do two workouts a week plus a race. I also try to get in one long run a week and one day off or an easy run. The rest of my runs consist of 45 minute recovery runs.

How do you mentally prepare for a race?
I repeatedly review all of my training and remind myself that I am prepared for the race ahead. The rest of the time I try to keep all negative thoughts from sneaking into my head.
What is your favorite meet during the cross country season?
Desert Twilight! It has a great amount of energy and is always exciting and fast.
Is there a pre-race meal that you prefer?
I don't really have one. I just try to eat smart...and a little bit healthy!
As the season comes to an end is there a specific goal you want to accomplish?
To qualify for NXNationals would be a great achievement.
Do you have any role models from year's past?
I always look up to my sister Allie. I think she has been a great role model and she always knows how to make me feel better if I am doubting myself.
Is there one piece of advice from Allie that you find very important?
She has tells me to always have fun and try not to think so much.
Any advice you would like to share to other runners?
Remember that the only pressure there is... is the pressure you put on yourself.
Favorite pro runner?
Mo Farah. He is amazing!
Favorite subject in school and why?
Math and history because I have always had great teachers in those classes.
Are there other hobbies you like to do outside of running?
On my free time I enjoy photography and drawing. I also like to read.
Are there any interesting or unique qualities about yourself?
I'm taller than my sister, even though I'm younger.
