Tim Freriks from Mingus Union high school not only won the Jim Danner Invitational in Oregon he smashed the course record by 9 seconds.
Jorege Martinez, a sophomore from Alhambra, and Humberto Gonzales from Cesar Chavez battled to the finish through most of the Doug Conley Invitational with Martinez winning in 15:38 over Gonzales (15:41.14)
Tuba City's Ryan Yazzie sprinted to a third place finish at the Conley Invitational with a time of 15:41.28.
Alberto Tellez from Camelback won the very hilly Los Mesquites Invitational in 16:39.
Girls:
Junior Jessica Tonn from Xavier College Prep became a two time Doug Conley Champion after winning in 18:36.89.
Sophomore Kylee Kieser from Casa Grande, who came in 14th at the Doug Conley Invitational last fall, moved into second place last week with a time of 18:45.91. She also improved her time by 51 seconds.
Zuniga Konnie from Nogales won the Los Mesquites Invitational in a time of 20:17.6
Shaelanna Antone from Hopi won the Blue Ridge Invitational in 23:34.48.
Desert Vista's Meagan Kupres (20:57.07) had over a two minute improvement from last years Doug Conley race time of 23:06
