A: My most memorable performance was my first track meet at the Chandler Rotary this year, when I won both the 100m and the 110 Hurdles.

Q: Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?

A: My sophomore year it was Julian Clark and my Senior year, Kendon Walker and TJ Green.

Q: What was your greatest accomplishment?

A: My greatest accomplishments were winning state championships. My sophomore year (2015) Tolleson Boys won Div II State Championship, 4x100 and I won the Div II 110 Hurdles. Then to end my Senior year winning Div I State Championship in the 100m and Long Jump. Becoming the second best hurdler in the state behind Devon Allen and being invited to BrooksPR Invitational.

Q: If you could do it all over again what would you change about your athletic career in high school?

A: I would have focused more on track and not have played basketball.

Q: What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

A: The most difficult obstacles I've had to overcome were my injuries. Throughout my high school career, I have had a broken collar bone, fractured hip and a pulled hamstring. I truly thank God I was able to do what I did this year.

Q: What will you miss the most about competing for the Tolleson Wolverines?

A: I will miss my friends and the support from T-Town. Tolleson is truly a family and that atmosphere I will miss.

Q: What advice would you give to younger athletes coming out for Track and Field?

A: It is going to be hard, it will take a lot of hard work and dedication. You have to love the sport and be willing to make sacrifices in order to be great and be able to move to the next level.

Q: What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?

A: My coaches have worked and pushed me to bring out my full potential in all my events. To leave everything on the track. Have a good Attitude, put in the Effort and Focus on what needs to be done.

Q: What event/events would you like to specialize in at Grand Canyon University?

A: I would like to continue to do all of the events I have been doing, the 100m, 110h and Long Jump.

Q: Have decided on a major?

A: Not at this time.

Q: Who do you have to thank for your success in high school?

A: First of all, I would like to thank God because without Him none of this would have been possible. I would like to thank my parents and my brother for their unconditional love and support. My high school counselors for staying on me. Lastly, my coaches for pushing me to do my best.

Q: Is there anything else you'd like to add?

A: Thank you Az.MileSplit for following me during my high school career. I loved reading the articles.
