(Jaheim Brown-Taylor won the 100m and 200m at the USATF Region 10 Championships)
Jaheim Brown-Taylor opened his running career for Chandler High School with an 11.01 performance in the 100-meter dash at the Brophy AMDG Invitational, placing 4th. The following week he placed 3rd in the 200-meters at the Rattler Booster Invite in a time of 22.64 seconds. Throughout the season Jaheim showed prominence in the 200-meter dash progressively lowering his time to 22.37 just prior to the State Championships. At the State Meet, he ran a regular season best of 22.25 in the 200-meter Final to place 2nd, the highest place of any boy freshman. Jaheim also played a critical role in the Chandler 4x1 and 4x4 Relays which respectively finished 1st and 2nd at the DI State Meet. Post-season, he won the USATF Region 10 Junior Olympic Championships where he ran a PR of 21.86 for 200 meters. Jaheim's got a lot of time to grow and as for now will be the top returner in Division I for the 200m next season.

Jose Acuna (Brophy) was the top Arizona freshman boy for 3200m with a time of 9:34. He finished 8th in the event at the Division I State Championships.
Derrick Silva (Rincon University) was the top ranked freshman boy for the middle distances with times of 4:28.52 for 1600m and 2:00.37 for 800m. At the DI State Meet he finished 10th in the 1600m.
Matthew Busack (Canyon Del Oro) ran 50.53 for 400m and 40.75 in the 300m Hurdles at the Southern Arizona Championships.
Christian Gonzales (Sahuarita) jumped 22-04.5 in the Long Jump to place 4th at Division III State Championships.
Zachary Landa (Desert Ridge) is ranked top freshman in Arizona for DT with a personal best throw of 144-10 from the Becky Matthews Invite. He was also AZ #3 for Shot Put among freshman.
Andrew Menlove (Chandler) threw marks of 140-09.5 and 44-03 in the Discus and Shot respectively at the Buckeye Throwers Invitational take the #2 spot for both events among freshman.
