The Page Sand Devils return six of their varsity team, four of whom ran under 21-minutes. Sofia Bryan (Sr.) ran 19:48 at Doug Conley last year and finished top-20 in the D3 Girls race at State last year and the year before. On Saturday, Bryan finished 7th at Pizza Edge and though she's still getting in shape and coming around, she could finish between 10th and 15th at State, come this November.
On Saturday, Page's Nahaniya Fowler (So.) finished 2nd in the Girls race as a sophomore. Fowler skipped 8th grade to go straight into high school and though she's still quite young she logged the most miles out of any of the girls over the summer. According to Coach Martin, "If we can get a couple of 40-mile weeks during the season then we could surprise a few people at Cave Creek."
