Can Schadler Retain Her Title Against Northern Challengers?

We begin with a few honorable mentions who could finish top-10 tomorrow night at Grande Sports Complex. For starters, Colorado's underclassmen could steal the show in the Sweepstakes race. Cameron McConnell (Cherokee Trail, Fr.) and Samantha Blair (Eagle Valley, Fr.) are both freshman who had fantastic showings at Liberty Bell but they have yet to experience racing in the desert when it's 90 degrees at 9 pm in the middle of the season. Anything could happen and for all we know McConnell and Blair could be national contenders, if not here sometime down the line.
Taylor James (So.) is just one of Niwot's possible low sticks looking to pull the Lady Cougars to a possible victory at Grande Sports. Last year as a freshman, James finished 10th in the Girls Sweepstakes race in just over 18-minutes.
Finally, there's Eva Jess (El Paso Franklin, So.) who has just been cruising so far this year not having any kind of competition in her area. Twilight will be her first real test this season. She was 5th last year at the UIL State Championships, running 17:34 in the 6A Girls race.
