Since taking the 2016 season off to spend some time at Rosewood Center For Eating Disorders, Emily Stutesman (Deer Valley, Sr.) has clawed her way back into competing with the best in Arizona even finishing 4th in the Division 2 Girls race at the AIA State Championships.
This season she's set lifetime-bests in both of her 5km races. She opened her season at Desert Solstice in Marana, where she ran her first ever performance under 19-minutes. Last Friday, she nearly broke 18-minutes at Desert Twilight and set a Deer Valley school record.
Check out how the girl returners fared from last year's Desert Twilight to this year's races.
