Here's the rundown of the top events to watch tomorrow afternoon at the AIA Meet of Champions. With the AIA running the show now at Sun Angel Stadium, it'll be interesting to see how the meet fares across all of the events. Here are just a few of the events to anticipate for tomorrow's Meet of Champions.

Koa Tuipala (Desert Ridge, Sr.) and Myreanna Bebe (Queen Creek, Sr.) will contend as the favorites over the High Hurdles, tomorrow at Sun Angel Stadium. Both of them clinched State Titles in the 110m Hurdles and 100m Hurdles, as the fastest performers in the Highs for boys and girls respectively.

Meanwhile, State Champions Ethan Wright (Desert Vista, Sr.) and Carmine Russo (Ironwood Ridge, Sr.) will go at it in the Intermediates. While Russo just recently dipped under 39-seconds at the State Meet, he'll be looking to tag onto the Arizona's top hurdler Wright and try to shave some time. Then, Kiana Kai (Campo Verde, Jr.) will toe the line in the Lows aiming as close as possible to the 42-second mark. Kai will be one of the Arizona hurdlers to follow next year, and we could see a hint of what's to come tomorrow afternoon.

The boys' distance events have always been a specialty for the Arizona Meet of Champions. This year, both of the Boys mid-distance races (i.e. 1600m & 800m) look pretty loaded, but we might see one of the fastest 800m races in State history tomorrow evening.

All season long we've been waiting for Leo Daschbach (Highland, Jr.) and Rylan Stubbs (Campo Verde, Sr.) to race each other and while they're both elite level milers, they'll contend have to contend with Kyle Miller (Desert Mountain) who blew spectators away at the State Meet.

Last week, Miller overtook Stubbs in the D2 Boys 800m to dominate with 1:53.76, for the fastest time on Arizona soil in five years. Stubbs followed suit in 1:53.82 and in addition to Daschbach, Sam Green (Highland, Jr.) and Tommy Thompson (Valley Vista, Jr.) who all dipped under 1:55 in the D1 Boys race, 10 of the other top 20 boys in the State for 800 meters will compete in the race tomorrow evening.

In the Girls' throws contests, State Champions Alaina Diggs (Millennium), Ciera Jackson (Chandler, Jr.), and Makiya Moore (Queen Creek, Jr.) will compete in both the Shot-Put and the Discus. Diggs was the D2 State Champion for both the Shot and Discus, and she'll contend with Jackson the D1 State Champ for the Shot-Put and Moore, the D1 State Champion for the Discus.

Diggs is the top-ranked Shot Putter in the State just three inches away from cracking the 47-foot barrier in the Shot-Put. Meanwhile, Jackson and Moore are both tied at the top of the girls' discus leaderboard with lifetime bests of 143 feet. While Jackson threw 143 at the start of the season, Moore threw 143 to clinch the D1 State Title last week.

Finally, the Girls' Pole Vault contest will feature Sevanna Hanson (Desert Vista, Sr.), Taylor Starkey (Casteel, Jr.), Eden Henderson (Chaparral, Sr.), and Madison George (Fountain Hills, Sr.), all girls who have cleared 13-feet this season. Hanson and Starkey have both cleared 13-2 at times during the regular season, but last week at Riggs Stadium, it was Henderson's and George's time to shine. Will we see all four of them push each other to new heights tomorrow evening at Sun Angel Stadium?
