Alumni represented the Copper State extremely well at NCAAs last weekend. On the Mens' side, Elijah Mason placed 7th in the Men's Discus competition in his redshirt-freshman season for the Washington Huskies. Then, true freshman James Smith Jr. placed 6th in the 400m Hurdles for the Wildcats, but was moved up to 5th place after a DQ ruling against Robert Grant. However disappointing, Bobby Grant had no time to dwell and he capped off his senior season helping the Aggies clinch a national title in the 4x400m Relay.
Additionally, we saw two former AIA State Champions clinch Women's NCAA Titles. On Saturday, Zarriea Willis followed her Indoor High Jump Title from March with an Outdoor High Jump Title and Dani Jones claimed her third individual title of her career for the Buffs.
