There were four senior girls this season who went under 18:30, which is quite a pace on a 5K cross country course. And another ten senior girls were under 19:00 this season. While it was a strange season this year, we hope to see many of these girls on our list competing for a college or university next fall and continuing their love of running.
Perry High School was a heavily senior-laden team in 2020 with four seniors running between 18:21 and 19:14 (Kylie Miller, Kate Miller, Kennedy Nolde, and Rylee Engelken). They were third in a very competitive D1 State Meet and these seniors were a big reason for this success.
Desert Vista and
Highland were two other heavily-packed senior teams with three senior girls on each team running anywhere from 18:18 to 19:53. The Thunder girls were Grace Ping, Olivia Thatcher, and Eve Boardman. The Hawks had seniors Marina Dear, Emma Finchum, and Story Alexander who were moving out there all fall as well.
