Hannah Carson (Sr., Chandler) and Daniel Wong (Sr., Canyon del Oro) advance to the finals at the World Youth Olympics in Singapore. Carson placed 5th in the Javelin, throwing 48.64 meters or 159-07 feet.
Wong placed 8th in the 2000 meter steeplechase with a personal best of 6:05.92.
Both athletes will be competing in the "A" Finals medal round.
The finals for the Javelin will be held on Sunday, August 22nd, at 8:15 PM (5:15 am pst), and the steeplechase finals will be at 8:15 PM Monday, August 23rd (5:15 am pst).
