Arizona Girls Performer of the Week (Mar. 30-Apr. 5)

After another week of track & field action in Arizona, it's time to vote for the MileSplit Arizona girls performer of the week.

Note: Athletes who have been nominated in the past two weeks are not eligible. Previous winners are excluded for the rest of the season.

This Week's Nominees:

Brailyn Clouse, ALA Queen Creek (Arizona): Won both throwing events at the Nightmare @ The Nest, highlighted by a shot put PR of 43-11 that improved from her previous best of 41-8.5 set in March. Also took the discus with a throw of 124-9, finishing first among 35 competitors.

Aulani Gleason, Mesquite High School (Arizona): The top freshman in Arizona in both the 200 and 400 swept both events at Just Us. Clocked 55.69 to win the 400 meters in a field of 52 runners, then returned to take the 200 in 24.67 against 53 competitors.

Peyton Taylor, Hamilton High School (Arizona): Cleared 12-7 to win the pole vault at Just Us, breaking her PR of 12-0 set in April by seven inches. The mark makes her the top-ranked junior in the state in the event.

Christina Keller, Scottsdale Christian Academy (Arizona): Posted a winning height of 5-6 in the high jump at the Nightmare @ The Nest, taking first place among 25 competitors. The performance establishes her as the #1 junior in Arizona in the event.

Roselyn Vazquez, Red Mountain High School (Arizona): Threw 131-7 to capture the javelin title at the Nightmare @ The Nest, winning in a field of 32 competitors.
