This Week's Nominees:
Naomi Taylor, Sahuarita High School (Arizona): Winning by 18.8 seconds is one thing, but doing it in 20:02.30 over 5K at the Rich River Rattler Invitational is another, and that combination was enough to top a 72-runner field outright. The clocking marks a personal breakthrough on this course, shaving 65.9 seconds off a previous 21:08.20 there.
Paisley Skankey, Mesa Mountain View High School (Arizona): Covering 5K in 18:43.40 was enough to win the 32nd Annual Chandler XC Invite by 9.5 seconds among 104 finishers. That performance ranks No. 39 of 3,331 athletes in MileSplit's database at Tumbleweed Park since 2019.
Allison Reamer, Cactus Shadows High School (Arizona): Duel In the Desert 26 came down to just 2.1 seconds, with a 19:33.76 clocking over 5K holding off the field of 52 finishers for the win. The effort improved on her previous time of 20:12.42 on this course by 38.7 seconds.
Catherine Baldwin, Red Mountain High School (Arizona): Finishing second among 104 runners at the 32nd Annual Chandler XC Invite, a time of 18:52.90 over 5K placed No. 51 of 3,331 athletes in MileSplit's database at Tumbleweed Park since 2019.
