How is your summer training going? Your favorite workout? What kind of summer mileage do you run?
Summer training went really well! We all felt really strong throughout the summer.
My favorite workouts are hill repeats and tempos.
Over the summer my mileage ranges from 45-50 miles a week
How long have you been running and how did you get started:
I have been running for five years now. I joined in 8th grade to hang out with friends and to get in shape for soccer but ended up loving running more than soccer.
Will you be competing out of State this season? If so, when and where?
Nope
What are your favorite courses and the toughest courses to run in State and out of State.
My favorite course is also the toughest course in state and that course would be the Conley course. I love the challenge!
So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?
My favorite cross country memory would have to be the mud runs with my team on those rare occasions that it rains. Jumping in all of the mud puddles, throwing mud at each other, and attempting to escape from being thrown into a puddle is the most fun any high school runner could have!
When you are not running what do you like to do?
When I am not running I like to ride my horses, rock climb, play soccer, and hang out with my friends.
Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?
Yes, I swim, rock climb, and play soccer.
Do you think you would like to run competitively after high school?
I most definitely would like to run competitively after high school
What were your favorite Olympic sports and did they inspire you in any way?
My favorite Olympic sports would be track and field (of course), the equestrian cross-country, soccer, marathon, triathlon, and fast walking.
All of these athletes have a story about their past that had made them the person that they are today and have taught them to work harder than anyone else to become as great as they are. They are an inspiration to work hard each and everyday knowing that it will pay off.
