While Jacob Slate tossed 160 to take 3rd in the Boys Discus at the D1 State Championships in May, Jacob Slate finds his niche as a Hammer and Weight thrower. Here's a look back through his eyes.

While most of these athletes compete against each other throughout the season, at Great Southwest the best of Arizona wore their State jerseys with pride.

Jacob Slate, recent graduate of Chandler High School won the Hammer Throw at Great Southwest with a Meet Record of 230-11.

The Great Southwest Indoor High School Classic not only took place during primetime on Saturday, it also played host to 19 top 50 times in the nation
