All entries must be entered online through Athletic.net. The site opens on February 15 and closes on March 9, 2020 at 7 pm.

We will allow substitutions on meet day. Coaches must make those changes at the coaches meeting.

Facility: Teams enter campus through the Glenn Street entrance and park buses in the north end of the parking lot. Athletes and coaches will enter the track facility via the gate at the northeast side of the track and proceed to their camp area.

Team Camps and Warm up area: Because of limited bleacher space, no athletes will be permitted in the bleachers. Team camps are in the outfield of the baseball field north of the track. This is also the warm up/cool down area. Pop up tents are permitted but may not be secured by driving spikes into the grass. Please stay off the infield and out of the dugouts.

These areas are closed to competitors and spectators:

The football/soccer stadium and field, and the softball field.

The baseball infield and dugouts

The track field is only open to coaches.

After completing their event, competitors must exit the track field and track.

No one may use the track field or the track (after the meet begins) to warm up. Competitors will warm up and cool down on the outfield of the baseball field in the team camp area..

Athletes will be disqualified from the meet if they enter these off-limits areas.

Spectators may enter the facility through the northeast gate (Glenn St entrance) or the southwest gate (Mountain Ave entrance). Bleacher seating is limited but spectators may bring their own lawn chairs to use on the west end of the track.

Track facility: 9 lane all-weather track. Athletes are to use flats, or ? spikes. Any violation will result in disqualification from the meet.

Runways and Aprons: All jumping events are on all-weather surfaces. Same spike rules apply. Shot put and Discus surfaces are concrete. Implement weigh-ins begin at 9:15 am by the track shed at the south end of the track.

Each school must provide their own batons, shots and discs.

Starting blocks will be furnished by Salpointe Catholic.

Timing of all running events will be done electronically backed up by stop watches. Any malfunction of the electronic system will defer to hand held times, preventing that event from being marked as state qualifying.

Rules and Regulations: 2020 State and NFHS track and field rules will be fully enforced. New rules revisions will be followed. No electronic devices of any kind are permitted on the track or the track field.

Awards: Medals will be awarded 1st-3rd places in the Varsity events and 1st-2nd place in Freshman only events. Medals will be awarded at the end of each event in the center of the field. Trophies will be awarded to the Team champions and 2nd place.

Scoring: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

Running Events: All events will be run as timed finals. There are no preliminary or qualifying heats. The heats will be seeded and run in order from slowest seed times to fastest. Please enter electronic seed times only. The varsity heats will be preceded by the Freshman Showcase event (freshmen only).

Box alley starts for the distance events.

The 4 x100 and 4 x 400 relays will be run in heats as seeded timed finals. Three turn stagger for the 4 x 400.

Please note: the High hurdle events will be run prior to the 4 x 800 relays.

Field Events:

High Jump and Pole Vault starting heights will be determined at the coaches' meeting.

The bar in the high jump will be raised 2" at a time until 6'0" has been reached for the boys and 5'0" for the girls. At that point, it will then be raised 1" at a time.

The bar in the Pole Vault will be raised 6" at a time or as determined by the final competitors.

Shot put, Discus, Javelin, Triple and Long Jump Each competitor will get 3 attempts with the best mark carried over to finals. The top nine competitors will move on to finals, with three additional attempts.

General Information:
