WATCH THE DESERT DREAM-LAST HURRAH LIVE ON MILESPLIT JUNE 12-13
Welcome to the 2020 Desert Dream-Last Hurrah track and field invitational, June 11-13 at Poston Butte High School in San Tan Valley, Arizona. San Tan Valley is located to the southeast of Phoenix Arizona.
This meet is strictly for those wishing to get one last race for a lost season of track. Participation is NOT mandatory. IF for any reason one is ill, or has been exposed to anyone with Covid-19 that person should NOT attend this meet.
The meet is open to those unattached athletes that are of high school age (age 13-19). This will include incoming freshman through seniors that might have graduated this spring. Open is considered for any college or older athletes(19-99) Masters age group (30+) is for the throwing events; otherwise they will compete in the open division.
Scheduled times are tentative and can be adjusted based on entry numbers. It is our hope to start running events as the sun is or has set. Probably between 6:00 and 7:00pm.
Thursday: 8:00am
Javelin and Hammer Throw. (Those throwing Hammer must have had experience with this event)
Friday: running event times tbd: Field events 6:00pm.
High Hurdles-100 Meter Dash-1600 Meter Run (1500 Open)-200 Meter Dash.
Field: Triple Jump, Boys Shot Put, Girls High Jump, Girls Discus, Boys Pole Vault
Saturday: running event times 7:00pm: Field events 6:00pm.time tbd:
800 Meter Run-300 Hurdles-400 Meter Dash-3200 Meter Run (3000 Open)-4x400 Relay.
Field: Long Jump, Boys Discus, Girls Pole Vault, Girls Shot Put, Boys High Jump.
Entry fee is $10 per athlete. Each athlete can participate in three events. See this link for instructions on how to register as an unattached athlete:

There will also be a permission form that will need to be completed and signed by participants. Bring the signed copy with you to the meet.
For Health concerns the following MUST be abided by all participants and spectators:
That athletes will only come through one gate.
Athletes will have to wear a mask at all times that they are not competing.
Athletes will be allowed one adult to accompany them into the stadium.
Adults will have to wear a mask at all times.
Those in attendance will be asked to social distance themselves.
Temperatures will be taken before entrance.
Each participant will need a parent permission slip. (will be created later)
Athletes will be competing as unattached.
Athletes are encouraged to leave after their event is done.
No throwing implements will be provided by CHS or the meet.
Throwing implements, if shared will need to be wiped clean.
There will be no bull pen.
Lane assignments will be online at www.wingfootfinish.com.
Results will be live and located on wingfootfinish.
