AIA State Cross Country Championship 2020

In dramatic fashion, Kylie Wild outkicked Evelynn Carr from ALA - Queen Creek to take the individual title in the D3 State Championship today at Crossroads Park in Gilbert, AZ. She talks about her race and strategy.

Salpointe Lancers edged out Coconino by 3 points to take home the D3 Girls State Title. 

Coconino didn't know what to expect exactly today but they are pretty satisfied with their D3 runner-up trophy at State today.

The Brophy boys held off Desert Vista and Highland to win its first State Championship since 2003.

The Salpointe Catholic Boys squad won its first-ever D3 Arizona State Cross Country title at Crossroads Park in Gilbert, AZ.

The Lady Hawks made this race much more interesting than anticipated, just missing out on the State title by 3 points. They spoke to us very upbeat about their runner-up team place at today's State Meet for D1.

Evelynne Carr was the runner-up in the D3 Girls State Championship race today by only a fraction of a second. But listen to how she seems to use it as a learning opportunity. 

While Desert Vista girls were the favorite going into state, they just squeaked by Highland by three points.  But you can see in this interview that a win is a win for these tenacious Thunder girls.

We caught up with the top-4 boys in the D3 boys' race (Roshan Tinoco-Miranda, Gilbert Olivas Jr, Trent Holiday, and Abraham Valenzuela) and they shared their respect for one another after competing against each other for the past four seasons.

Noah Jodon had a great race on Thursday in the D1 Boys State Championship. He seemed quite pleased with his performance and looking to capture the crown next season as a senior.
