Meet Information
The 2nd Annual Southwest Javelin Showcase
- Weigh-In: 7:15am (will continue throughout the morning)
- Coaches Meeting: 7:30am (on javelin runway in basin)
Payment Information
$100 per team - PO# can be emailed to jshewbridge@setoncatholic.org - checks can be brought to the event.
We will have 2 divisions - Varsity and Freshman.
- Each school will be able to enter 3 Freshman, 4 Varsity athletes for a total of 7 per gender - 14 max per team - we may increase these numbers depending on number of teams participating.
- $20 per athlete or $100 per team
- 3 javelin runways - two on the football field and one in the Javelin arena
- State qualifying event
- Athletes will get 3 throws - top 9 will go to finals for 3 more throws - next 9 will get three additional throws with top throw in finals to receive a medal.
- Top 4 athletes in each division will receive medals
- Concessions will be open
- Spectator admission = FREE
- Girls will throw first, boys immediately after

9:00 AM - Flight 1 - Field 3 - 4 throws - no finals
9:00 AM - Flight 2 - Field 2 - 3 throws
9:00 AM - Flight 3 - Main - 3 throws
9:30 AM - Girls Finals (Top 9) - Main
10:00 AM - Girls over 80' (Not in Top 9) - Main -
