When did you first get involved with track and field?  How long have you been running:

I first got involved with track and field when I was five years old , so I have been running for 13 years.

What is a typical training week like for you?

A typical training week for me is like a track meet everyday. Practicing with the best and most competitive athletes in the state of Arizona makes the strive for your best performance in meets that much easier, for the simple fact that we are constantly pushing each other on the track , the field , and the weight room to be the best we all can be individually in practice everyday .

What are your goals for the upcoming track season?

My upcoming goals are 11.86 in the 100 , 24.45 in the 200, and 55.60 in the 400

How do you prepare yourself mentally for a race?  Do you have any superstitions?

I remember myself how physically prepared I am for the race , I remind myself about how far I have came and the work I have done to get myself to this point . I tell myself I will be great .

What does your season look like and will you be competing in any out of state track meets during the season or post high school season?

My season is coming along very well , I am getting very close to the goals I have set for the end of my season and it's only the middle , so I am very excites to see what is in store for the rest of the season. Yes I will be attending Arcadia on April 5 and 6 and the Great Southwest after season.

What message would you tell younger runners who aspire to be at the top?

To younger runners I would definitely say keep working , the work you put in definitely shows in the results of the performance you give  , I would also say to stay focused on the goals you have set for yourself . Don't compare your performance to any of your competitors , because the only person you should worry about being better than is the person you were yesterday.

If you had to attribute your success to one thing, what would it be?

I would say my success is due to all of my supporters, which are my family, friends, coach, and teammates. I would also say God, without him nothing is possible, and I believe my faith and relationship with him has gotten my to a perfect place in my track career.

Do you have role models or mentors in track and field?

One person I really look up to in the sport of track is my older sister, Quiana Jackson. She is an amazing athlete and works hard to get herself to the places she wants to be. The professional track athlete I look up to is Allyson Felix for the simple fact that we both run the same events, and tried something new in our career by moving down to the 100 meter dash. She gives me hope that if she can learn so can I.

How many events do you compete in and which event is your favorite?

In a full season I compete five total events my favorite relay is the 4x100 it's the most exciting and most competitive relay , and it's an honor running with my teammates Ky , Tope , and Lamaya . My favorite individual race is the 200 .
