The NAU men won the NCAA DIV 1 Mountain Region earlier this afternoon with 61 points over Colorado's 69 points.
The top 4 runners for NAU were only 4 seconds apart but they were spread out from 3rd to 11th place. Leading the group was Futsom Zienasellassie with a time of 29:45.2 for a 3rd place finish followed by 9th place finisher Matt McElroy in 29:48.8. Josh Hardin finished 10th in 29:49.0 followed by Brian Shrader (Sinagua, 2010) in 11th with 29:49.1. Andy Trouard (Salpointe Catholic, 2013) was the 6th runner for NAU with a time of 30:31.7 for 40th place.
The NAU women finished 6th and were led by 11th place finisher Rolonda Jumbo (Chinle, 2012). Jumbo finished the 6K course with a time of 20:51.2. Shayla Freeman (Greenway, 2011) finished with a time of 22:19.3 for 82nd followed by Jamie Shrader (Flagstaff, 2011) in 22:21.7 for 83rd.
