The Watch List continues until the Nike Southwest Regionals to cover the top runners from the Arizona State Meet. Up next Chris D'Angelo from Desert Vista is only a sophomore and a first year runner finishing 14th at the State Meet. Chris was not highlighted in our original watch list so we thought we would highlight him now.

When did you get started as a runner:
I started running when I was in fifth grade.
How was the transition from middle school to high school?
What is your favorite type of workout?
Il like the longer more consistent runs, mixed with a variety of speed training.
What were your goals for the AZ State Meet and what was the experience like?
I was telling myself top 20 at best, and the experience was great, but not as great as the Twilight meet about a month before.
Will you be running at Nike SW Regionals or Foot Locker West Regionals?
I am running at Nike SW Regionals.
Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?
Yes I do.
Do you follow any kind of nutrition program or watch what you eat?
I do watch what I eat to a certain extent.
So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?
My favorite memory was the night of the Twilight race.
Why do you like to run?
It gives me confidence to be able to achieve anything I wish.
When you are not running what do you like to do?
I play basketball.
How have your coaches influenced you overall?
They have done good towards my running, and hopefully they become better mentors and friends as our relationship builds and grows.
