Hurdles
Familiar competitors Johnie Talamantes (Red Mountain, Sr.) and James Smith Jr. (Westwood, Sr.) will be pushing ea.ch other to the line as the top two boy hurdlers in Arizona, with Johnie leading the State in the 110s while James will be on the hunt for the State record in the 300m Hurdles.
Jai Gruenwald (Chandler, Sr.) is the overwhelming favorite to repeat for the D1 Hurdle titles with PRs of 14.10 (100mH) and 42.62 (300mH). Most recently she dominated the Highs at City in 14.20. Looking to challenge Jai are Westwood's Rahni Turner (Fr.), Mesa Mountain View's 1-2 punch Kennady Davis and Sarah Marske, as well as Dylan Armstrong (Millennium, Sr.) who threw down an impressive mark of 44.47 at the Desert Vista Last Chance Meet, showing everyone that she's ready to race.
