8. Ares Reading (Niwot, Sr.)

PRs
3200m -- 9:14
5km -- 15:30
Though Reading spends a lot of time in Culpepper's shadow, he has also displayed a strong kick this season usually resulting in a finish just steps behind Cruz. At last year's Desert Twilight, he ran 15:48 to place 40th in the Sweepstakes race. He placed 11th at the CHSAA State Championships last November, and this past spring he ran 9:14 for 3200m at the Arcadia Invitational. This year, he's surely set on running lock-step with his teammate Culpepper in the lead pack to approach if not break the 15-minute barrier.
