MESA, AZ. -- The 2022 AIA State Track & Field Championships may be over, but we are still reliving all the glory that was the state meet by posting our favorite races from the four days of competition at Mesa Community College.

The Division I Girls 100m ended up being easily one of the most entertaining races of the meet with the top four finishers only separated by .08 seconds. Chandler freshman S'Niyah Cade claimed the first state title of her young career in 11.84, just edging out the defending champion from Mountain Pointe, senior Trinity Henderson at 11.85.

Pinnacle senior McKenna Watson placed third in 11.89 and Highland junior Lainey Jones was fourth at 11.92. Watson ended up winning the 200m later on in the evening while Jones claimed the title in the 400m as well. With Henderson, there were a total of four state champions in this one race. Quite the stacked field.
