Glendale Prep Academy sophomore Taryn Janssen in the Division IV girls race at the 2021 AIA State Cross Country Championships at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. Janssen, in spectacular fashion, finished in second place at the state meet for cross country -- as a freshman. She ran 5:26.28 in the 1600m and 11:38.36 in the 3200m to place seventh and third, respectfully, at the 2022 AIA State Track & Field Championships. Janssen enters this cross country season as the top returning athlete in the Division IV Metro section.
