PERFORMANCE LIST: AIA Girls Open State T&F Championships

Millennium junior Landen LeBlond at the Ron Smith Classic last month at Shadow Mountain High School. LeBlond enters the AIA Open State Track & Field Championships as the top seed in both the 1600m (4:42.84) and 800m (2:10.39).



The inaugural year of the AIA's new format for the State Track and Field Championships is here. For the first time ever, Arizona will host an all-classifications/divisions state meet for track and field.

That means the top 18 athletes are going to compete against one another to earn the first Arizona State individual championship award.

Last week was the AIA Division State Track and Field Championships at Red Mountain and Deer Valley High School. 

Advancement to State Championships: May 12-13, 2023

  • On Saturday, April 29, 2023, the rankings from all State Qualifying meets with all divisions were merged. They were posted Monday, May 1st.
  • The top six (6) in each event automatically qualified for participation in the State Championship meet if entered by their respective coach by the deadline (May 8, 11:59 PM).
  • Results from all Division Championships May 4-6, 2023 were merged with the top six performances from State Qualifying Meets and posted May 8th.
  • The top 30 were eligible for entry into the State Meet.
  • Top 18 entries will advance to State.
