Red Mountain High School cross country coach and head distance coach Steve Selby is departing after the end of the season, the school announced on Monday.
Selby began coaching as an assistant at Mountain View in 2006 and was there for two years. He then took the head coaching job at Gilbert and was there for four years. He has been at Red Mountain since January 2013.
Selby most recently helped lead Red Mountain to the state championship in track and field in the Open Division last year.
Red Mountain is beginning its search for a new head coach for cross country and a distance coach for track for the 2024-25 school year.
