After experiencing modest success as sprinter for NPA, Barger went all-in to find success as a distance-runner over the past year and a half. At the Rattler Booster Invite, she won the 1600m and placed 2nd in the 3200m with times that ranked her no. 1 among D4 Girls for both races. At the State Championships, she earned a State Title in the D4 Girls 1600m run and finished on the podium for each of the other distance events and anchored the Lady Spartans to 3rd place in the D4 Girls 4x800m relay.
