When did you first get involved with track and field?  How long have you been running:

I started running when I was 6 years old for "Do Right Track Club"

 

What is a typical training week like for you?

Six days a week working on position/abs/and executing my racer properly.

 

What are your goals for the upcoming track season?

My goal is to run at least an 11.70 in the 100 and 24.50 in the 200.  I am hoping to make the 2014 world youth Championship.

 

How do you prepare yourself mentally for a race?  Do you have any superstitions?

I prepare myself mentally for a race by first praying and giving God the glory whether I wind or not.  I visualize myself excecuting my race and winning.

 

What does your season look like and will you be competing in any out of state track meets during the season or post high school season?

So far my season is looking great and I believe I will be competing in a couple of out of state meets/
 

What message would you tell younger runners who aspire to be at the top?

To be dedicated and stay determinded even when it gets hard because at the end of the day it will all pay off - and to just trust in God.
 

Do you have any role models or mentors in track and field?

My role models are my Sherry Ann Fraiser, Flo Jo and Sonya Richardson-Ross.  I also look up to my coaches and his daughters Terra and Taylor.

 

How many events do you compete in and which event is your favorite?

I compete in 5 events although my favorite is the 100 meter dash.

 

What are 3 things we don't know about you?

  1. I'm a shopaholic.
  2. I can be a bit sensitive.
  3. I love to travel.

 

Best thing your coach ever said to you?

The best thing my coach ever told me was that I am one of the best in the country.
