With the 2014 cross country season just around the corner it's time to start our "Watch List" highlighting the top returners. Saguaro junior Tyler Beauchamp is our next Watch List athlete.
As the season starts we will continue to add athletes to the list.

When did you get started as a running:
I started running track in 3rd grade and I’ve been running ever since
Which meets will you be running this year?
Our team will be running Chandler, Fountain Hills, Sunny Hills in California, and Twilight.
What are your goals for the upcoming track season? What do you look forward to the most?
My goal is to stay healthy and improve my times from last year, and I look forward to running some new courses and competing for a state championship with my team
How is your summer training going? Your favorite workout? What kind of summer mileage do you run?
My summer training is going well; I’ve been running 35-60 miles a week. My favorite workouts are long hill runs.
Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?
Our team does some strength exercises once a week.
Do you follow any kind of nutrition program or watch what you eat?
I’m not on any programs, but I do my best to eat healthy.
Have you ever been injured?
My only injury is when I had shin splints in 7th grade.
So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?
Winning the sophomore race at Mt. Carmel and going to Disneyland with my team after the race last year
What is the best part of running?
Meeting awesome people, being in shape, and the feeling of accomplishment after a good race
Out of all your running accomplishments so far, which stands out the most?
Breaking 16 minutes and finishing 5th at the state meet last year
When you are not running what do you like to do?
When I’m not running I hang out with my friends, play xbox, or play the bass
How have your coaches influenced you overall?
My coaches have taught me never to settle whether it’s a workout, a race, or in life.
