With the 2014 cross country season just around the corner it's time to start our "Watch List" highlighting the top returners. Junior Megan Reniewicki from Arcadia High School is our next Watch List athlete.

When did you get started as a running:
Because my dad was the high school coach, i started running with the track team when i was in the 4th grade and with the cross country team when i was in 6th grade
Which meets will you be running this year?
Some of the meets we will be at are: Peeks, Four Corners, Ray Wherley, Twilight, and State
What are your goals for the upcoming track season? What do you look forward to the most?
My goal this season is to PR, run my hardest each race, and i’m really looking forward to running at State with my team
How is your summer training going? Your favorite workout? What kind of summer mileage do you run?
My summer training is going great, each week I run around 50 miles a week, and my favorite workouts are tempo runs
Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?
I don’t usually cross train, but occasionally I like to swim
Do you follow any kind of nutrition program or watch what you eat?
I don’t follow any kind of program, but overall I eat pretty healthy, but I do love an occasional bowl of ice cream
Have you ever been injured?
No, never a serious one
So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?
My favorite memories are the ones spent joking around with teammates and racing at the Foot Locker meet in California
What is the best part of running?
Being done with the race knowing that you put it all out there, and spending time with teammates
Out of all your running accomplishments so far, which stands out the most?
Having placed 3rd at the state meet last year was an accomplishment that definitely stood out the most for me
When you are not running what do you like to do?
I love spending time with friends and family, go hiking and swimming
How have your coaches influenced you overall?
Having my dad as my coach has influenced me even more to be a better athlete, and have a positive outlook on things

To my former running buddies ,my big brother John running for ASU, Ethan Woodward running for PVCC, and Dallas Clark, as well as my teammates this year
