AZ Virtual Mile Team Champs - DV Boys

Watch the above 9+ minute interview below with Noah and Jacob on how they approached the virtual mile, plans for the spring and summer and goals for next year's cross country season.

Interview with Noah Jodon and Jacob Cardon - part of the boys' virtual mile AZ team champs.

Desert Vista has a storied history in Arizona for it's middle-distance and distance programs. Since 2002, the Desert Vista Boys' Cross Country team has either been State-Champion or Runner-Up fifteen times!

Noah Jodon (sophomore) and Jacob Cardon (junior) are two returning cross country runners to keep on building upon the legacy that is DV Cross Country. Before the cancelation of the track and field season, Noah had already set a 1600-meter PR for himself (4:31.31), which knocked nearly 20 seconds on his 2019 PR in that distance.

Jacob as well started the track season off strong, just being 1-second off his 800-meter PR, when he ran a 2:07.25 at the Thunder Invite on the last day of February.

The two boys talk about their feelings on the abrupt high school season end and their optimism for next year's cross country season.

Jacob at Thunder Invite in 2020 - taking 7th overall in the 800 meters.

Noah at Thunder Invite in 2020 - 3rd overall in boys' 1600 m.

Our 2-minute challenge ended last night, which we will have results up tomorrow.  We will have our #3 challenge announced later this week.
