Our interview with Chalen Lozano from Marana High School who was our Virtual Mile Champion.
Watch the 10-minute interview we had with Chalen on what he is doing now, plans for the remainder of the spring/summer, and his aspirations beyond high school.
Virtual Mile Champion
Chalen was one of the over 30 participants we had in our virtual mile event last week. Chalen took first overall with a 4:38 mile.
Training and Keeping Focused
According to Chalen he is still training at a high level and hoping that there may be some USATF AZ track meets in late May or early June, to get in a few track events before transitioning to college cross country.
College Plans
Chalen is one of those types of runners we featured yesterday in our article "D-1 Not the Only One - How to Compete in College", who is going to continue his running career at Pima Community College near his home in Tucson.
2019 Boys Championship Race - Nike Twilight - Chalen took 15th.
It was a pleasure speaking with Chalen. We should have an upcoming video interview with the DV Boys who were the top virtual mile team out of Arizona by Monday or Tuesday.
Our next virtual challenge is our 2-minute challenge that is due by Monday, April 6th at 11:59 pm.
