Campo Verde senior Martin Breinholt in the Division II boys race at the 2021 AIA State Cross Country Championships at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. Breinholt ran 16:49.30 to finish in 17th place at last year's state meet for cross country. He is coming off a track season where he recorded personal bests in the 800m (2:06.52) and the 1600m (4:47.64). Breinholt enters the 2022 cross country season as the second fastest returning athlete in the Division II East section over 5,000 meters with his time of 16:06.70.
