Weekend Round-Up Week 1: Girls

ALA Queen Creek's Evelynne Carr (center) in the senior girls race at The Chandler Invitational 2022 at Tumbleweed Park in Chandler. Carr ran 18:57.40 on the 5,000-meter course, which was the fastest time out of all athletes in the state for the first weekend of the cross country season. Flagstaff senior Mia Hall ran the second-fastest time with her 19:05.30 at The Peaks Invitational, but that was at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff -- which is at 7,000 feet elevation.
