Highland freshman Camryn Delancey in the large school varsity girls race at The Western Equinox XC Festival at Freestone Park in Gilbert. Delancey finished in second in a time of 18:36.90, running a personal best.

After last weekend which saw Arizona athletes head west to California to compete in the Woodbridge Classic and Mt. Carmel Invitational, some of the state's top competitors took the week off with Desert Twilight looming on the schedule. But there were still impressive performances at The Western Equinox XC Festival. On the girls side, nine of the state's top 20 times were recorded.
