Mountain Pointe senior Jayden Davis in the blocks before the elite 400m at the Nike Chandler Rotary Invitational in Chandler last month. Davis ran 46.45 in the 400m at the Arcadia Invitational two weeks ago to set the state record in the event. He also is second in Arizona in the 200m at 21.55 after eight weeks of the outdoor track and field season.
